Chifley Square is a 34-storey office tower in Sydney that emphasises connectivity between people by splitting the floor plates into ‘villages’. Three to four storeys within the building are open across the entire building to encourage interaction and flexibility between floors.
The distinctive crisscrossing red on the side of the building is illuminated by WE-EF FLC131 projectors. These luminaires accentuate the finishes on the façade to create a dramatic effect after dark. An elongated snoot was specially designed for the WE-EF FLC131 projectors to avoid glare to the public spectating from the street. The use of red light on the red surfaces minimises the number of fittings required to achieve a dramatic result.
